But in Malaysia, it goes beyond just sending a PDF via email.<\/p><p data-start=\"1022\" data-end=\"1193\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hasil.gov.my\/en\/e-invoice\/\"><strong data-start=\"1026\" data-end=\"1051\">LHDN e-Invoice system<\/strong><\/a> is a real-time invoicing model where each invoice you issue gets validated by <em data-start=\"1130\" data-end=\"1165\">Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN)<\/em> before it becomes official.<\/p><p data-start=\"1195\" data-end=\"1214\"><strong>In other words:<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"1215\" data-end=\"1373\">It\u2019s not just a digitized invoice\u2014it\u2019s a standardized, real-time tax reporting method that directly connects your invoices to the Inland Revenue Board part of the government&#8217;s effort to:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1509\" data-end=\"1575\"><li data-start=\"1509\" data-end=\"1529\"><p data-start=\"1511\" data-end=\"1529\">Reduce tax evasion<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1530\" data-end=\"1552\"><p data-start=\"1532\" data-end=\"1552\">Improve transparency<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1575\"><p data-start=\"1555\" data-end=\"1575\">Digitize the economy<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1577\" data-end=\"1597\">Here\u2019s how it works:<\/p><ol data-start=\"1598\" data-end=\"1869\"><li data-start=\"1598\" data-end=\"1681\"><p data-start=\"1601\" data-end=\"1681\">You create an invoice through your system (POS, ERP, accounting software, etc.).<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1682\" data-end=\"1739\"><p data-start=\"1685\" data-end=\"1739\">The invoice is sent to LHDN\u2019s platform for validation.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1740\" data-end=\"1804\"><p data-start=\"1743\" data-end=\"1804\">Once approved, LHDN issues a <strong data-start=\"1772\" data-end=\"1803\">unique identifier + QR code<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1805\" data-end=\"1869\"><p data-start=\"1808\" data-end=\"2663\"><p data-start=\"2648\" data-end=\"2663\">Sole proprietor<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2664\" data-end=\"2669\"><p data-start=\"2666\" data-end=\"2669\">SME<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2670\" data-end=\"2682\"><p data-start=\"2672\" data-end=\"2682\">Freelancer<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2683\" data-end=\"2702\"><p data-start=\"2685\" data-end=\"2702\">E-commerce seller<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2703\" data-end=\"2716\"><p data-start=\"2705\" data-end=\"2716\">Corporation<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2717\" data-end=\"2730\"><p data-start=\"2719\" data-end=\"2730\">Partnership<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2731\" data-end=\"2768\"><p data-start=\"2733\" data-end=\"2768\">LLP (Limited Liability Partnership)<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2769\" data-end=\"2811\"><p data-start=\"2771\" data-end=\"2811\">Or anyone earning income that\u2019s taxable\u2026<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2813\" data-end=\"2849\"><strong data-start=\"2813\" data-end=\"2849\">You\u2019ll need to issue e-Invoices.<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"2851\" data-end=\"3004\">Even transactions with <strong data-start=\"2874\" data-end=\"2895\">individuals (B2C)<\/strong> are covered. LHDN refers to these as \u201c<strong data-start=\"2934\" data-end=\"2960\">self-billed e-Invoices<\/strong>\u201d, and yes\u2014you\u2019ll still need to submit them.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"3006\" data-end=\"3052\">What if I\u2019m not registered for SST or GST?<\/h3><p data-start=\"3053\" data-end=\"3167\">Doesn\u2019t matter. <strong data-start=\"3069\" data-end=\"3106\">e-Invoice is linked to income tax<\/strong>, not SST\/GST.
