Since COVID-19 hits Malaysia one year ago, many people and businesses are struggling to stay afloat. ? It saddens us to see the white flag campaign across our social media feeds, reflecting that many people’s life has been turned upside down without an income, or even a proper meal.
Following the good initiative by our sister companies, we at EasyParcel have decided to empower FoodBank.Digital by providing food aids across Malaysia with the delivery sponsored by Pgeon. ? Let us be the star on a cloudy night!
What is FoodBank.Digital?
As the name suggested, FoodBank.Digital is an online platform for you to apply food aids when there’s a need, as well as contribute food or donation for those in need.
In just 14 days since the FoodBank.Digital first rolled out on 3rd July 2021, we’ve received 51,583 food aid requests. ? To date, we have successfully delivered 18,184 FoodBox to the approved applicants.
We can’t do it alone – so you’re invited to join in to help more families to stay afloat! ? We’d also like to take this opportunity to appreciate those who have stepped forward to contribute to this meaningful initiative.
What Can You Do To Empower FoodBank.Digital?
1 – Donate Using EasyReward Points ?
Every little contribution counts! You can make use of your earned EasyReward points on some goodwill. Every donated point will be converted into cash for food supplies purchase, which means a lot to the needy communities!
Step 1: Log in to EasyParcel account at easyparcel.com and go to “Rewards” > “EasyReward”.
Step 2: You can choose from the 3 columns which can be separated into 200, 2000, or 6000 EasyReward points. Every 100 EasyReward points will be converted into RM1 donation to FoodBank.Digital. To donate 1 FoodBox worth RM60 which can support a small household family, you can choose to select 6000 EasyReward points.
#2 – Cash Donation ?
Donation in terms of cash is welcomed! No matter who you are, you can go ahead to FoodBank.Digital official website and join us by making a cash donation as an act to give back to the community.
All donations from the public and corporate companies will 100% be used to purchase food supplies for the families in need and audited by Grant Thornton. With a contribution of RM60, we’re able to fund 1 FoodBox that contains essential food supplies that can support 1 family.
