Consequences Of Poor Packaging

Receiving a parcel can brighten your day and bring you joy! However, it is meaningless and will undoubtedly ruin your mood if the package arrives broken.

“Arghhh, what should I do?”
“It’s extremely frustrating if I have to return it to the sender.”
“I just want a refund and no more next time!”

Customers aren’t going to care about excuses, regardless of what caused the parcel to be damaged. So here are the consequences of poor packaging:

#1 Unhappy Customers And Bad Reputations

As a matter of fact, people are becoming more and more demanding. High-quality packaging will undoubtedly be more eye-catching and attract customers than poor packaging. Of course, the correct package sizes are also important.

Imagine the recipient’s anger and disappointment when they open the parcel and discover the contents inside are broken after such a long wait. Your brand may suffer as a result of poor packaging. Customer may reluctant to make repeat purchases?‍♀️, and customers may even dissuade others from shopping for your brand.

#2 Tons Of Returned Products

“Please refund!” Oh, what a pain in the neck. Failure to meet customer’s expectations not only will make them upset and disappointed. Customers would expect to receive a replacement or to get back their money.

Returned products reduce your business profit ? indirectly because you’ll have to spend more on transportation and handling. In order to recompense customers, the company need to issue refunds. Aside from that, it costs more time ⏳ for firm employees to entertain irate callers or respond to all negative social media criticism.

#3 Items Exposed To Water Or Humid Conditions

Are you sure you’ll merely use a paper bag to wrap your items? Paper bags are more likely to split or rip during shipping, especially if they get damp. If you pack your products in a worn, fluffy box with holes, the same thing will happen.

Poor packaging might destroy your package ?especially when they were exposed to water, rain☔ or humid conditions. Durable materials can keep your items protected. You could place certain sensitive kinds of stuff in a sealed plastic bag before putting them in boxes or poly mailers.

#4 Causes Goods To Break, Leak, or Crush

Again, do not use worn-out packaging materials. If the driver disregards the handling guidelines or the “Fragile” warning marking on your parcel, the contents will almost certainly break. Things get worst when you did not use bubble wrap to wrap each item individually.

When all goods are packed and mixed together in a box without proper isolation, the objects may be damaged when they are bump together during the delivery process. ⚠️Bottle cracks, distorted shoes, leaky liquids, scratches, and product functionality flaws are all common problems.

Hence, please make sure you’ve done your best to pack your items before the shipments!
