Some journeys are measured in kilometres.
Others are measured in courage, love, and purpose.
On 28 March 2026, something extraordinary begins in Penang — not just a run, but a mission that stretches across 2,200 kilometres, touching hearts across Malaysia.
This is Run For Gold — a journey for children bravely fighting cancer

From here, one man will take his first step — not for himself, but for thousands of children who are fighting battles far greater than any marathon.
The Man Behind The Mission
At 66 years old, Lim Shyang Guey (SG) is not chasing records.
He is chasing meaning.
After losing his wife, Joo Lee, to cancer in 2024, SG chose to turn grief into purpose. What was once a shared dream — to travel across Peninsula Malaysia — has now become a solo journey fueled by love and remembrance.
But he doesn’t run alone.
With every step, he carries:
- The memories of his wife
- The voices of caregivers
- The hopes of children fighting cancer
2,200KM Across Malaysia — For A Cause That Matters
Over the next 90 days, SG will run across all 11 states and federal territories in Peninsula Malaysia.
That’s:
- 25–35KM daily
- Through towns, cities, and communities
- Meeting survivors, caregivers, and families along the way
But this isn’t just about endurance.
It’s about connection.
At every stop, stories will be shared — stories of strength, pain, resilience, and hope.
Why “Run For Gold”?
The Gold Ribbon represents childhood cancer awareness.
It symbolises:
- The preciousness of children
- Their strength in the face of adversity
- Their courage to keep going
And that’s exactly what this run stands for.
Because no child should ever have to face cancer alone.
Why EasyParcel is Behind This Story
At EasyParcel, we believe delivery goes beyond parcels.
Sometimes, what truly matters is delivering:
- Hope
- Support
- Awareness
- And the power of community
“Run For Gold” is a reminder that even the smallest step can carry a powerful message — and when combined, those steps can change lives.
This is why we are proud to support a journey that moves not just across Malaysia, but across hearts.
How You Can Be Part of This Journey
You don’t have to run 2,200KM to make a difference.
You just need to take one step.
Whether it’s:
- Supporting the cause
- Sharing the message
- Or contributing to help children in need
Every action counts.
