Dog Body Language: What's Your Pup Really Saying?🐶
Tail
- Tail wagging fast at mid-height position = Happy and relaxed
- Tail become stiff, wagging slowly at high position = Alert or unsure
- Tail tucked between legs = Scared or submissive
Ears
- Ears up and relaxed = Calm and curious
- Ears pinned back = Nervous, anxious or submissive
Eyes
- Whale eyes (Showing eye whites) = Feeling threatened or anxious
Other Movements
- Play bow (front leg stretched, butt up) = Playful and friendly
- Licking lips, Yawning = Stressed, uncomfortable or tired
- Panting when not hot or tired = Could be stress or pain
- Hair standing up (hackles raised) = Feeling defensive or scared
- Growling or Showing teeth = Warning (Back off! They will bite)

- Hiding = Nervous, unwell, or needs alone time
